The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado HD is the definition of a workhorse. This year also brings exciting news. The legendary Allison 10-speed automatic transmission is now available with both engine options. Previously exclusive to the Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8, you can now pair it with the 6.6L V8 gas engine. For those needing even more capability, there's an available Allison 10-speed automatic transmission with integrated Power Take-Off (PTO) as an optional upgrade. 

For maximum trailering weight, the Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 is your go-to choice. This powerhouse delivers 470 horsepower and a massive 975 lb-ft of torque. Not to be outdone, the 6.6L V8 gas engine brings plenty of muscle to the table with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, offering up to 19,080 lbs of maximum available trailering weight.

Note that the Silverado HD is available in both 2500 HD and 3500 HD configurations, each designed for different heavy-duty needs. The 2500 HD is better suited to be an everyday driver but still has serious capability. The diesel-powered 3500 HD is engineered for maximum hauling and towing capacity. With a reinforced frame and available dual rear wheel setup, the 3500 HD can handle up to 36,000 lbs maximum available trailering capacity and 7,237 lbs maximum available payload.

Silverado HD Interior

Chevrolet hasn't spent all their time focused on power. They've taken the time to create an inviting and upscale cabin that makes every journey more enjoyable. You can choose from various cab options, from Regular to Crew Cab, all available in standard or long bed sizes.

No matter which model catches your eye, versatility comes standard with the 40/20/40 split-bench front seat and convenient under-seat storage. Moving up through the trim levels reveals beautiful interior color options like rich Umber Leather, sophisticated Graystone, and striking Nightshift Blue.

By now, we already know that the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD is capable. The engine specs are incredible. And the exterior has features like 12 standard tie-downs rated at 500 lbs, LED lights in the cargo area, and the Multi-Flex Tailgate. What you might not realize is just how good this truck looks. You can enhance its appearance even further with available packages that suit your style.

The Midnight Edition package makes its first-ever appearance on the High Country trim level. It delivers an aggressive, blacked-out appearance that turns heads wherever you go. For the adventurous spirit, there's the first-ever ZR2 Bison, created through Chevy's partnership with AEV. If you prefer a more refined appearance, the Z71 Chrome Sport Edition features tasteful chrome accents all around.

Chevrolet Silverado HD Technology

Technology is another standout feature in the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado HD. The centerpiece is an impressive 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen with Google compatibility. Even base trim levels come with wireless phone projection through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The available Bose sound system with seven speakers and a Richbasse woofer delivers premium quality. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Multi-Flex Audio System by Kicker transforms your tailgate. This weatherproof audio package connects via Bluetooth and includes a hidden amplifier in the tailgate, perfect for job sites or tailgating.

Chevrolet Silverado HD Safety

Every trim level includes a comprehensive suite of safety features. New for this year is standard adaptive cruise control, which even works while trailering. The available camera system includes eight cameras providing up to 14 different views.

One of the most impressive features is the Transparent trailer view, which lets you "see through" compatible trailers. The Bed view camera keeps an eye on your cargo while you're on the move, giving you peace of mind mile after mile.

WT

The Work Truck trim level lives up to its name with a focus on capability and value. The Durabed features 12 standard tie-downs and durable rubberized vinyl floor covering that's ready for hard work. The automatic locking rear differential helps maintain traction when you need it most.

Inside, you'll find a 7-inch touchscreen that includes wireless smartphone connectivity through the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System.

Custom

Available in Double Cab and Crew Cab configurations, the Custom trim adds style to your capability. It rolls on attractive 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, and the mirrors now include heated upper glass. Remote keyless entry, power windows, and door locks add convenience. You'll also enjoy a SiriusXM with a 360L Trial Subscription for entertainment on the go.

LT

The LT trim represents the middle of the lineup, adding many desirable features. The cabin receives a significant upgrade. It gets both a 13.4-inch color touchscreen display and a 12.3-inch reconfigurable Driver Information Center.

The exterior is marked by Chrome front and rear bumpers and body-color door handles. The Power lock and release EZ Lift tailgate makes cargo access easier than ever. Inside, you'll appreciate the wrapped steering wheel and convenient keyless open and start system.

LTZ

The LTZ trim takes luxury up a notch. It includes the helpful in-vehicle trailering app and Hitch View. But it also adds premium touches throughout. The cabin features perforated leather-appointed front seating with 10-way power adjusters and heating for both driver and front outboard passenger seats. Plus, it has a heated steering wheel.

Rainsense automatic wipers and a rear window defogger improve visibility in challenging conditions. A power sunroof becomes available at this level as well. The back seats receive charging-only USB ports, and you can now find a 120-volt power outlet in the cabin. As for comfort, the LTZ introduces Dual-zone automatic climate control.

ZR2

The ZR2 is the off-road champion of the lineup. Inside are unique front bucket seats in Jet Black/Graystone perforated leather with striking Yellow accent stitching. Both driver and front passenger seats are ventilated. This trim adds wireless charging and the upgraded Bose Premium Sound System. The front center console includes reconfigurable cup holders and a phone tray. Front and Rear Park Assist arrive as well.

Off-road capability comes from 18-inch Gloss Black wheels with an etched ZR2 logo. These are wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires. Multimatic DSSV dampers, e-Locker rear differential, aluminum front skid plate, and a 1.5-inch suspension lift prepare you for adventure.

Additional features include cargo bed LED lighting, Bed View Camera, Universal Home Remote, power up and down tailgate, Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, and a power sliding rear window.

High Country

The High Country stands at the top of the lineup with features that rival the ZR2. It distinguishes itself with a chrome and bronze grille and 20-inch polished wheels. The 6-inch chrome rectangular assist steps add both style and function.

The cabin showcases premium leather seating surfaces with exclusive custom perforation and stitching patterns, complemented by a wooden trim. Both front and second-row outboard seats are heated now, and adaptive cruise control is standard at this level.
