What's New for 2026
The single biggest addition for 2026 is the Silverado EV Trail Boss, a trim that arrives with 24 percent higher ground clearance than the base truck and a coil suspension tuned with a hydraulic rebound control system. Trail Boss joins Custom and LT as the three pillars of the 2026 lineup after Chevrolet retires the RST.
Beyond Trail Boss, several changes apply across the lineup:
The Custom trim gains the 17.7-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen and 11-inch Driver Information Center as standard equipment for the first time. Previously those screens were reserved for higher trims.
Three new exterior colors arrive: White Sands, Polar White Tricoat, and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic, bringing the total color palette to nine options.
Super Cruise receives an update to version 6, adding Google Maps lane guidance on compatible roads, a new hands-on mode that keeps the truck centered in lane while hands remain on the wheel, and an adaptive cruise option that automatically matches posted speed limits. Super Cruise with towing remains available on LT and Trail Boss.
The Trail Boss also introduces a trim-exclusive Terrain mode, which at low speeds sharpens the four-wheel steer response for better torque and traction control on uneven surfaces. Sidewinder diagonal steering, previously limited to RST, is now standard on Trail Boss.
Trim Lineup
The 2026 Silverado EV lineup scales through eight configurations across three battery packs.
Custom
Available in Standard Range, Extended Range, and Max Range. This trim now includes the 17.7-inch infotainment screen and 11-inch Driver Information Center as standard. It also carries up to 10.2 kW of off-board power through up to 11 outlets across all battery configurations.
LT
Available in Standard Range, Extended Range, and Max Range. The LT adds uplevel exterior LED lighting with an illuminated front bowtie, an available Multi-Flex Midgate that extends bed length to 10 feet 10 inches, available 22-inch machined wheels, and available Super Cruise with towing. Wide Open Watts mode is also available on LT.
Trail Boss
Available in Extended Range and Max Range. Trail Boss is the only trim with the 2-inch lift, 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires, red front tow hooks, a high-angle approach front fascia, and the exclusive Black and Artemis interior with red accent stitching. Standard four-wheel steer, Sidewinder mode, and Terrain mode are all included. WOW mode is available on Trail Boss as well.
Performance & Powertrain
Every 2026 Silverado EV uses a dual permanent-magnet electric motor system with AWD as standard. Output varies by trim and battery pack.
Custom
Custom produces 510 hp regardless of battery pack. A single-speed direct-drive transmission feeds power to both axles, and the GM battery platform supports Standard Range, Extended Range, and Max Range pack options.
LT
LT Standard Range generates 605 hp, LT Extended Range reaches 645 hp, and LT Max Range hits 760 hp with up to 765 lb-ft of torque. The top figure of 760 hp and 775 lb-ft is unlocked via Wide Open Watts mode on LT Max Range. Chevy quotes 0 to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds in Sports Mode with WOW active.
Trail Boss
Trail Boss Extended Range produces 625 hp with 775 lb-ft of torque, while Trail Boss Max Range delivers 725 hp and 775 lb-ft. Trail Boss also adds Terrain mode, Sidewinder mode, standard four-wheel steer, and the off-road hardware that defines the trim.
Range and Charging
The Max Range pack enables DC fast charging at up to 350 kW, which GM estimates delivers about 100 miles of range in 10 minutes. EPA fuel economy and range ratings › The max GM-estimated range of 478 miles applies to the LT Max Range and Trail Boss Max Range configurations. Custom Max Range achieves 493 miles EPA-estimated. Extended Range trims land at 410 to 424 miles EPA-estimated depending on trim.
Interior, Comfort & Cargo
The Silverado EV cabin is built around a flat load floor that maximizes rear passenger space. Front legroom measures 44.8 inches and rear legroom reaches 44.3 inches, both figures that exceed most full-size pickup competitors.
Front headroom is 41.9 inches on Custom and LT, and expands to 43.9 inches on Trail Boss and 3LT configurations. Shoulder room spans 64.9 inches up front and 63.8 inches in the rear.
An available eTrunk up front provides 10.7 cubic feet of lockable, weatherproof storage with a power-up and power-down hood. Cargo box volume is 57.3 cubic feet on Custom and LT and 57.5 cubic feet on Trail Boss.
The available Multi-Flex Midgate, offered on LT and Trail Boss, opens a pass-through to extend the usable bed to 10 feet 10 inches when the rear glass is removed, the tailgate is down, and the primary gate load stop is engaged. The available Multi-Flex Tailgate offers six configurations including a full-width step rated to hold up to 375 lbs.
Trail Boss buyers receive an exclusive Black and Artemis interior with red accent stitching, while auxiliary switches for accessory lighting are easily accessible throughout the cab.
Technology & Infotainment
Every 2026 Silverado EV trim, including the Custom trim, now ships with the 17.7-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen and the 11-inch diagonal Driver Information Center. Both screens are standard across the board, which is a meaningful change from prior model years when the Custom trim received a smaller display.
Google Built-In is integrated into the infotainment system, allowing Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play apps to run natively without a phone connection.
An available 14-inch diagonal Head-Up Display is offered on select configurations. The digital rearview mirror function is also available.
Super Cruise 6, available on LT and Trail Boss, now integrates with Google Maps to navigate to the correct lane on Super Cruise-compatible roads. The system also supports hands-free towing, which Chevrolet positions as a differentiator versus competitors.
The Silverado EV supports Vehicle-to-Home capability via the GM Energy PowerShift Charger, meaning a properly equipped truck can power a home during an outage. Up to 10.2 kW of off-board power across up to 11 outlets is available on all trims, useful for job sites or remote work in areas around Tulsa and beyond.
Sidewinder mode, accessible from the infotainment screen, turns all four wheels in the same direction so the truck can move diagonally at low speeds, useful for tight parking in urban settings or maneuvering on uneven terrain.
Safety & Driver Assistance
Standard safety equipment on all 2026 Silverado EV trims includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert with braking, lane keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, reverse automatic braking, and a surround-view camera.
The Chevy Safety Assist suite also includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam automatic high-beam control.
The updated Super Cruise 6 system on LT and Trail Boss now includes a hands-on lane-centering mode for roads not yet on the Super Cruise-compatible map, bridging coverage gaps between fully hands-free segments.
Who It's For / vs the Prior Year
The 2025 Silverado EV was built around the RST as the primary retail trim. For 2026, Chevrolet restructures the lineup around three distinct customer profiles: Custom for commercial and budget-conscious buyers, LT for buyers who want the full feature set including Super Cruise and midgate, and Trail Boss for off-road buyers who previously had no purpose-built EV truck option in the Silverado lineup.
The removal of RST simplifies the trim structure without losing capability. Buyers who wanted RST features will find them distributed across the LT and Trail Boss configurations.
Shoppers in Tulsa who previously looked at the RST for its Sidewinder mode will find that feature now standard on Trail Boss, where it pairs with the 2-inch lift and Terrain mode for a more complete off-road package.
The addition of the 17.7-inch screen to the Custom trim is significant for commercial buyers. A contractor or fleet operator in Tulsa gets Google Built-In navigation, the 11-inch Driver Information Center, and the full 10.2 kW off-board power capability without stepping up from the base trim.
