What the ZR1 Adds Over the Z06
The ZR1 takes the Z06's flat-plane V8 architecture and twin-turbocharges it into the 5.5L LT7, nearly doubling the Z06's output to 1,064 horsepower. It adds standard carbon-ceramic brakes, the available ZTK track package and a 233-mph top speed the naturally aspirated Z06 cannot approach. It is the biggest single power jump in the lineup.
2027 ZR1 Engine and Drivetrain
The LT7 is a twin-turbocharged 5.5L flat-plane-crank V8 making 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque, the most powerful engine ever offered in a production Corvette. The rear wheels are driven through the eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle. The result is a 2.3-second run to 60 mph and a 233-mph top speed in the low-drag configuration. If you want all-wheel-drive traction on top of this engine, that is the ZR1X.
ZR1 Chassis and Hardware
Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard, measuring 15.7 inches in front with six-piston calipers and 15.4 inches at the rear with four-piston calipers. The ZR1 rides on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels with 275/30ZR20 front and 345/25ZR21 rear tires. It uses the wide Corvette body, and the whole car is built around managing the heat and aerodynamic load of more than a thousand horsepower.
The available ZTK Performance Package adds a high carbon-fiber rear wing, front dive planes, underbody strakes, a track-tuned suspension and Michelin Cup 2R tires, generating about 1,200 pounds of downforce for the driver who takes the ZR1 to a circuit.
2027 ZR1 Pricing and Packages
Two equipment levels, both carrying the 1,064-hp LT7. Prices exclude the $2,495 destination charge; the ZTK package and the convertible add from there.
| Equipment level | Starting MSRP | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1LZ | $197,700 | The entry ZR1, full 1,064 hp and standard carbon-ceramics |
| 3LZ | $208,700 | Top equipment level; the 2027 ZR1 ladder has no 2LZ |
Like every Corvette it seats two, with up to 12.6 cubic feet of cargo and no factory tow rating. Pricing for every model level is on the trims page.
Where the ZR1 Sits in the Corvette Lineup
The ZR1 sits second from the top. Below it, the Z06 is the 670-hp naturally aspirated car, the Grand Sport and Stingray share the 535-hp LS6. Above it, the ZR1X adds a front electric motor for 1,250 hp and all-wheel drive. Compare all of them on the models-compared page.

2027 Corvette ZR1 Frequently Asked Questions
How much horsepower does the 2027 Corvette ZR1 have?
1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque, from a twin-turbocharged 5.5L LT7 flat-plane V8. It is the most powerful engine ever offered in a production Corvette.
Is the ZR1 twin-turbocharged?
Yes. The ZR1 uses the twin-turbocharged 5.5L LT7. The Z06 shares the flat-plane architecture but is naturally aspirated; the Stingray and Grand Sport use the naturally aspirated LS6.
What is the top speed of the 2027 Corvette ZR1?
233 mph in the low-drag configuration, the highest top speed of any Corvette. With the ZTK aero package the car is set up for downforce rather than top speed.
How much does a 2027 Corvette ZR1 cost?
The 1LZ starts at $197,700 and the 3LZ at $208,700, each before the $2,495 destination charge. The 2027 ZR1 ladder has only those two equipment levels; there is no 2LZ.
What does the ZTK Performance Package add?
A high carbon-fiber rear wing, front dive planes, underbody strakes, a track-tuned suspension and Michelin Cup 2R tires, together producing about 1,200 pounds of downforce.
What is the difference between the ZR1 and the ZR1X?
Both use the twin-turbo LT7 V8. The ZR1 sends all 1,064 hp to the rear wheels alone, with no electric assist anywhere in the driveline. The ZR1X adds that assist at the front axle, and that is where its extra power and its quicker launch come from.
How quick is the 2027 ZR1 to 60 mph?
2.3 seconds by the manufacturer's estimate. The all-wheel-drive ZR1X is quicker still, at 1.89 seconds.
Does the 2027 ZR1 come as a convertible?
Yes. Like the rest of the lineup, the ZR1 is offered as a coupe with a removable roof panel and as a convertible. Service intervals are on the Corvette service page.
